Ultimate Johnny Cash Tribute in April

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – For all those country music lovers out there, two local groups are bringing you Johnny Cash music.
The Zanesville Memorial Concert Band and the Philo Band Boosters have invited Terry Lee Goffee back to the southeast for a night dedicated to Johnny Cash. Chad Stemm the president of the Zanesville Memorial Concert Band said Goffee just came back from his music tour in the United Kingdom.
“Johnny Cash was this guy’s influence in music,” Stemm said. “He’s very eclectic even though this is the story he is doing. Johnny Cash’s actual biological brother and sister has seen this show and really loved it. It’s not an imitation of Johnny Cash it’s really a memorial tribute to a guy who helped change the face of music.”
Terry Lee Goffee was actually the voice imitation for Johnny Cash used in Guitar Hero five, and Stemm said Goffee has had many sold out performances and he’s hoping this will also be a sold out performance.
“We’re in association with the Philo Band Boosters for this event and we’re splitting the proceeds 50/50,” Stemm said. “We just thought it would be best to have two groups. Since it’s a new adventure for both of us. The Philo Band Booster President is cousins with Terry Lee Goffee and Terry is from the Byesville, [Ohio] area originally and now he lives in Cleveland, [Ohio].”
The Ultimate Johnny Cash Tribute concert is April 1, 2017 at Secrest Auditorium starting at 7:30 P.M. For more information call Secrest Auditorium at (740) 454-6851 or go to dustyguitar.com.
