ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It’s now time to meet our Pet of the Week.

We have a cat named Bunny this week. Executive Director Jody Murray said Bunny was an owner surrender when her owners were moving and couldn’t take her along. Bunny is a sweat cat that gets along well with people.

“As you can see she’s a very plump kitty,” Murray said. “She’s 19 pounds right now. We’ve had her on a restrictive diet and obviously whoever adopts her would need to keep her on a diet to get her weight back down.”

Besides Bunny’s weight Murray said she’s healthy and can be micro-chipped before adoption. Bunny’s adoption fee is $30.00.

“She’s a very friendly cat and is going to be very responsive to folks, but [needs] someone who’s just going to be able to watch her diet would be very good for her,” Murray said. “She’s up to date on her vaccinations had her surgery. She’s ready to go and be adopted immediately.”

The Animal Shelter Society is also holding their third annual Yappy Hour on Thursday March 30, 2017 at the Zanesville Country Club. For more information on tickets and sponsoring call The Animal Shelter Society, (740) 452-1077.
