Zane Trace Riders Hold Club Fundraiser

2017.03.26. Pie Day. 11 1

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — One local club held a fundraiser this morning to help offset the cost of some upcoming expenses.

The Zane Trace Riders 4-H Club held their “Homemade Pie Sale” at the Ohio Pottery today. Proceeds will benefit the club by assisting with the purchase of a variety of necessities, including vaccines for the members before the fair.

“We’re just selling homemade pies, it’s a fundraiser that we’re doing for our club to help with buying books, and shirts, and stuff, just to help out with that. We’ve been doing it ever since I’ve been in here so a long time,” said Maddy Barnett, News Reporter for the club.

The club has about 18 members in total, all of which say they just want to be a part of the group and develop a strong bond with one another.

“Well everyone likes being a part of something , so we would all like to come together and do things that strengthen our bond among everyone. So that’s something we try to do throughout practices and stuff like that,” added Barnett.

The club expected to sell over 50 pies in total, both whole and by the slice, while raising between $400-$500.
