Barbara Harrison

Barbara Ann Harrison, 87, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Helen Purcell Home. She was born June 28, 1938, in East Providence, Rhode Island to the late Joseph Michael and Mary Roderick Piver. She was a 1956 graduate of East Providence High School. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and volunteered there as a Eucharistic Minister. She was dedicated to caring for her husband, whom she enjoyed traveling with.
Barbara was a mom first; however, her favorite role was Nana, as her grandchildren were her world. She enjoyed cooking with them and laughing. She worked in various roles in her lifetime but her most cherished role was an Administrative Assistant at St. Nicholas School.
She is survived by her children Gregory Scott (Nichole) Harrison, Kimberly Ann (Andrew) Pitcock, Christopher Todd (Becky) Harrison and Jennifer Leigh (Edward) Steiger; two sisters: Joan Harrington and Mary (Arthur) Raposa; nine grandchildren: Daniel Robert Pitcock, Casey Paige (Connor) Church, Benjamin Andrew Pitcock, Isaac Harrison Steiger, Kazuo Michael Harrison, Maya Gracie Steiger, Eiji Scott Harrison, Ella Kimberleigh Steiger and Lila Mirabelle Steiger; and one great granddaughter Anderson Marie Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Michael Harrison, who passed away May 6, 2010; a sister Patricia Piver; a niece and Goddaughter Lynn Winchenbach; and a nephew Michael Harrington.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 PM Thursday, March 19, 2026, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Friday, March 20, 2026, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 925 East Main Street, Zanesville, with Father Donald Abii as Celebrant. Burial will follow at a later date at Zanesville Memorial Park. Cremation care has been entrusted to The Snouffer Crematory.
