Loretta Heddleson

Loretta G. Thompson, Heddleson, 86, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Saturday, April 4, 2026. She was born in Buckhannon, West Virginia, in 1939.
Loretta was the daughter of the late Freda and Jack Wilfong. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clyde Thompson and Frank Heddleson; her step-children, Jack, Richard, and Danny Heddleson; her grandson, Todd Thompson; and her sisters, Carolyn and Shirley.
Loretta is survived by her loving children, Ann (Terry) Lepage, Cindy (John) Bintliff, Sye Thompson, Rusty Thompson, and Sharon Thompson (Dennis “Flip”) Blair.
She leaves behind a large and loving family, including her cherished grandchildren, Angela Lepage, Amanda (Ben) Cain, Christine Shumate, Brian (Amanda) Thompson, Heather Thompson, Tina (Bill) Campbell, Tiffany Thompson, Misti Thompson, Ryan (Caitlin) Thompson, and Braelyn Thompson, along with 17 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.
Loretta retired from March Electric and was a proud member of the Moose Lodge, VFW, and the Eagles.
She truly knew how to enjoy life. Whether she was out dancing, laughing with friends, planning a trip, or simply watching her favorite soap operas, she brought energy and fun everywhere she went. She loved shopping, decorating, and making things feel special, not just for herself, but for the people she loved.
Above all, Loretta was a strong and devoted mother. After the loss of her husband Clyde, she raised her five children on her own with incredible strength, determination, and love. She built a life centered around family, and that love carried on through every generation.
Loretta will be remembered for her resilience, her sense of humor, her independence, and the way she could light up a room. She had a special way of making people feel welcome, cared for, and part of something bigger.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, including her close friend, Diana Bourne. While our hearts and heavy, we find comfort knowing her legacy lives on through the family she loved so deeply.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 11:30am to 1:00 pm with burial to follow at Guernsey Memory Gardens. Loretta’s online guest book may be viewed and signed at www.bundy-lawfuneralhome.com.
