Ernest “Bud” Savage

Ernest Walter “Bud” Savage, age 89 of New Concord, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home in Mansfield, Ohio. Mr. Savage was born on July 21, 1936 in Guernsey County, a son of the late Walter Savage and Evelyn (Jeffrey) Savage.
Mr. Savage was a graduate of New Concord High School. He had held many jobs around the area, working construction, working on oil rigs and many bars and restaurants. But most of his career was working Marjorie’s Restaurant in Cambridge with his wife, Marjorie.
Bud married Marjorie Ann (Hall) on November 20, 1954. She preceded him in death on September 7, 2024. Also deceased is their daughter Deborah Kay Savage; his siblings, Bonnie (Jim) Brill, Mary (Eddie) Jamiel, Bill (Barbara) Savage, and Jack Savage.
He leaves: a son Walter Allen (Pamela) Savage of Mansfield; grandchildren, Jesse Walter (Crystal) Savage, Matthew Denton, and April (Joe) Wiseman; great grandchildren including Lacy Rae Savage; siblings, Shirley Stalnaker, James Savage, Gordon Savage (Donna), Frederick Savage and Thomas Savage; a sister in law Judy Savage; and many nieces and nephews; and cousins.
The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation at Bundy-Law Funeral Home, Cambridge, Ohio on Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 1pm to 3pm.
