Lester Shaw

Lester George Shaw, 62, of Zanesville, loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, at his home.
He was born on November 3, 1963, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Charles Albert Shaw and Betty (Bateman) Shaw. Lester was a graduate of Maysville High School and MJV in Carpentry. He was the owner and operator of LND Auto Body Tech for over 25 years and recently has been working at Patriot Companies, specializing in metal fabrication. Lester enjoyed watching football and working on cars. In his spare time, he loved riding his Harley and spending time with his loved ones.
Lester is survived by his 3 children: Ashley (Cody Muncey) Shaw, Nicholas Shaw, and Drake Shaw; step daughter, Asiah (Jake) Murphy; 2 brothers: James Shaw and Robert (Pam) Shaw; 3 sisters: Vivian Shaw, Kim Shaw-Porter, Judy (Dave) Samson; grandchildren, Austin Webb, Montana (Pebbles) Webb, Alex Webb, Morgan Webb, Ava Webb, Madelyn McGinnis, Cora Jean Murphy; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Charles “Chucky” Shaw.
Per Lester’s wishes, a dignified cremation has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
