Genesis Announces Closure of Daycare, Kiddie Kollege and Dance Academy

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — Genesis HealthCare System has announced it will close all Children’s Center programs, including daycare services, Kiddie Kollege and the Dance Academy.

According to Genesis spokesperson Kelley Daspit, the decision comes after an in-depth evaluation of the system’s priorities and resources. Genesis says while it has valued its relationships with families over the years, its focus remains on delivering high-quality patient care.

The organization says it will continue operating the center for the next 60 days, with a final closure date set for June 12, and will work to support both families and staff during the transition.
