Janice Chapman

Janice Chapman, 70, of Nashport died under hospice care at 3:50 AM on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at her home.

She was born on Wednesday, April 4, 1956, in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Kenton and Barbara Smith Ray.

Janice was a member of First Baptist Church of Dresden. She worked as a secretary for Central Market grocery store, United Telephone Company, and State Farm Insurance as well as various retail merchandising jobs. She loved spending time with friends, line dancing, camping, and volunteering.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Larry Wayne Chapman; a daughter, Kayla (Michael) Dixon; a sister, Karen (Tim) McGovern; brother-in-law Jim Bunch; sisters-in-law Kay (Tony) Sampson and Diane Chapman as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Bunch and a brother-in-law Bob Chapman.

No services will be held.
