Annette D. Kokensparger, 62, of New Lexington, Ohio died Saturday, April 25, 2026 at her home.

Born October 24, 1963 in Columbus, Ohio to Paul Wilson and Bettie Hatcher Adcock.

Ann, lovingly known to all as Annie, was the heart and soul of her family – their rock, their foundation, and the steady presence that held everything together. She was a woman of incredible strength and resilience, overcoming cancer and a heart attack, and carrying the deep grief of losing her beloved husband, Bill, and later her son, Ryan, with a quiet grace that inspired everyone around her. Despite all she endured, Annie remained a light in this world. Her smile could brighten any room, her laughter was infectious, and she truly never met a stranger – only friends she hadn’t yet welcomed in. She found joy in life’s simple moments, whether she was baking and cooking for those she loved, or reading a good book with pages softly crinkled in her hands. Above all, her greatest love was her family. Her grandchildren meant more to her than words could ever express, and that same deep, unwavering love extended to her children, who were the center of her world. Though her passing was sudden and leaves an unfillable space in so many hearts, there is comfort in imagining her at peace, surrounded once more by those she has loved and missed so deeply—especially Bill and Ryan, along with so many other cherished loved ones. Annie was truly one of a kind – a beautiful soul whose love and warmth will live on forever in those who knew her.

Survived by her father, Paul (Sally) Wilson; mother, Bettie Adcock; children, Lori (Joe) Hollinghead and Billy Kokensparger; grandchildren, Noah and Zoey Hollingshead; Abigail, William and Bentley Kokensparger; siblings, Chris (Patty) Wilson, Paulette (Jeff) Kunkler, Kendra (Steven) Kunkler and Cher (Anthony) Iannarino.
