Karen Morrison

Karen Elizabeth (Fenton) Morrison passed away on Sunday, April 26th, surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan, and lived in Chandlersville and Zanesville, Ohio. She graduated from John Glenn High School in 1973 and from Ohio University Zanesville in 1977 with a degree in elementary education and a minor in math.
Karen spent much of her life caring for others, including her children, grandchildren, and many families she served as a childcare provider. She was a loving wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Karen married Ralph Morrison on July 21, 1974, and they shared almost 52 years of marriage together.
Karen enjoyed word games, watching her favorite shows, and traveling with her husband and grandchildren. She was well known for her homemade chocolate chip cookies and her endless support of her grandchildren.
Karen is survived by her husband, Ralph Morrison; her children, Elizabeth (Jason) Grubb, Tommy (Jen Farus) Morrison, and Michael (Tara) Morrison; her grandchildren, Jade (Mike) Kenway, Paige Grubb, Brayden Morrison, Isabella (Caleb Rush) Morrison, and London (Dakota Johnson) Baker; two great-grandchildren, Aurora Rush and Meadow Johnson; her sister, Susan Rich; brother-in-law Rick Chattos, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Fenton; her father, Thomas Fenton; her brother, Fred Fenton; her sisters, Jo Chattos and Marilyn Smart; and her brothers-in-law, David Rich, and Robin Smart.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 am until the funeral service which will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, with Pastor Doug Winner officiating. She will be laid to rest at Chandlersville Cemetery.
