Catherine “Cathy” Sharrer

Catherine “Cathy” Dianne Sharrer, 74, of Zanesville passed at 12:30 AM Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at her home.

She was born on Monday, February 18, 1952, in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Arthur Earl Shoemaker and Mildred Frances Woodward Shoemaker.

Cathy was employed with United Technologies for over 29 years. She then worked as a bus aid for the Head Start program. Cathy enjoyed reading and spending time with family, especially the children.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Ray Sharrer; two daughters, Crystal (Tim) Russell and Candi Cox; a son, Craig (Stephanie) Sharrer; six grandchildren, Brandon, Nicole (Randy), Amanda (TJ), Jessica, Chayliegh (Terry) and Kierra (Dylan); seven great grandchildren, Elijah Harlan, Starr Harper, Logan Best, Aleighia Cox, Kamerynn Shields, and twins Gracie and Bentley Shields.

In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by a brother, Donald E. Shoemaker.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home where funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM. Burial will conclude at the Greenwood Cemetery.
