Billy Bobb

It is with profound sorrow and heartfelt remembrance that we announce the passing of Billy Joe Bobb, Sr., who left us in the evening of Wednesday, April 29, 2026, in Zanesville, Ohio. Born on October 27, 1959, in Zanesville, Bill’s life was a testament to hard work, faith, and the enduring bonds of family.
Bill was a self-employed drywall finisher and laborer, known for his dedication to his craft and his unwavering commitment to providing for those he loved. His hands built more than walls—they built a legacy. Bill was a devout Christian, finding strength and guidance in his faith which shaped his character and the warmth he extended to others.
The heart of Bill’s world was his beloved large Bobb family. He was, above all, an amazing father and grandfather, whose love and presence were cornerstones in the lives of those he nurtured. His family was his greatest joy. His passing leaves a deep and irreplaceable void.
Left behind to mourn his passing are his children, Christina (Brad) Turner, Vanessa Bobb, Jayde (Sean) Hardesty and Billy J. Bobb, Jr.; his siblings, Tina Bennett, Brenda Yarger, Tim (Lisa) Bobb, Steve (Kelly) Bobb, Dave (Sherry) Bobb and Mike (Rose) Bobb; as well as his darling grandchildren, Dominic Bobb, Remington Turner, Alex Bobb, Allisa Bobb, Ruby Knight, Gunner Turner, Rosaleigh Tokie, Raelynn Hardesty, Hudson Hardesty and Ainsley Dentz.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen (Hale) Bobb; his siblings, George Bobb, Roger Bobb, Terry Bobb and Jimmy Bobb; his nieces, Tina Theisen and Jaime Bobb; and his nephews, Michael Bennett, III, Guy Bennett and David Theisen.
To honor his life and legacy, a visitation will be held on May 6, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Goebel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, located at 36 North Buckeye Street in Crooksville, Ohio. This will be followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM, where friends, family, and community members will gather to celebrate his life, to share stories and tears, and to find solace together. Bill’s cremated remains will be laid to rest in Mt. Horeb Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
