Susan Collet

Susan Gayle Householder Collet, 67, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on May 2, 2026. She was born April 6, 1959, in Zanesville, Ohio. Susan was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was known for her caring heart and the compassion she showed to others throughout her life.
Susan is survived by her sisters, Cheryl and Emily Hecker and Luanne and Robert Willamson, and her brother Rick householder. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mevelyn Deavers; her dad, Clare Householder; her brother, Doug Householder; and her grandson, Christian Lang.
She leaves behind her three sons, Mike and Corrie Shiplett, Daniel Shiplett, and Chris and Ashley Swain, who were the center of her world. Susan was also a proud grandmother to Camden, Gwen, Alexandria, Rayven, and Dylan. Her granddaughters gave her purpose, and she loved them more than anything. Also many nieces and nephews.
Susan shared a special, lifelong friendship with her dear friend Alice, whose companionship meant so much to her over the years. The family would also like to extend a personal thanks to her friends Heath and Dave for the time they spent with her.
Susan had a deep love for her cat, Annabel, who brought her comfort and companionship. She also enjoyed spending time at the casino, where she found fun and excitement. She enjoyed civil war era things and plantations.
Throughout her life, Susan dedicated herself to helping others. She worked as a case worker for Hand in Hand and hospice care, where her kindness and empathy touched many lives. Her work reflected the compassion she carried in her heart every day.
Susan will be remembered for her strength, her warmth, and the love she gave so freely to her family and those around her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday May 9, 2026, at Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM, with Steven Shiplett officiating. Susan will be laid to rest with her mother in New Lexington Cemetery at a later date.
