Bill Long

Bill M. Long, age 77 of Cambridge, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Ohiohealth Southeastern Medical Center. He was born on October 23, 1948 in Cambridge, a son of the late Hershal Long and Edith (Bichard) Long.
Mr. Long was a graduate of McKeesport High School. He served his country in the U. S. Army. He had worked and retired from the Cambridge State Hospital after many years of service as a case manager. He enjoyed supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers and Ohio State Buckeyes.
Bill leaves his wife of 52 years, Pamela M. (Johnson) Long; children, Joyce (Chris) Loudin of Salesville, Denny Long and Gary Long both of Cambridge; sister Lila (Thomas) Plowey of Jeanette, PA; grandchildren, Billy (Danielle) Goff IV, Kim (Paul) Hill, Ryan Goff and Christopher Loudin; great grandchildren, Paul Hill III , Aurora, William and Savanna Goff and many nieces and nephews.
Bill is preceded in death by: his parents Hershal and Edith Long; three brothers, Johnny Long, Charles Long and Everett Long and five sisters, Dorcas Ann Long, Florence Hinezman, Ella Mae Cain, Edna Redelspurger and Shirley Campbell.
