Pet of the Week!

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — If you’re smitten for a kitten for your home, our featured Pet of the Week is just for you!

This week’s Pet of the Week is Bradley– a 10-week Maine Coon mix, who was brought to the Animal Shelter about a month ago and has one unique characteristic about him.

“Bradley has been with us a month or so. He was part of, unfortunately, an unwanted litter that was brought into the shelter. And he is a Maine Coon mix, about 10 weeks old. He has kind of a unique color, kind of a little bit of a charcoal/black looking color,” explained Jody Murray, Executive Director for the Animal Shelter Society.

While Bradley is still young and ready to run around and explore, his personality makes him a perfect fit for any type of home, and a great friend to other animals.

“He is going to do great anywhere, he just has one of those personalities. You can see he likes being held and cuddled a little bit, that typical kitten that likes to get out and explore and play. Yeah, just a great kitten, that is going to be a great addition for anyone that’s looking for a kitten for their home,” added Murray.

Bradley’s adoption fee is $70, and he’s already been neutered and received all his necessary shots and vaccines.

Murray also took time to thank Noodles & Company for allowing them to be the beneficiary of their non-profit outreach at their mock opening on Monday. He added the staff were extremely accommodating, and not only did they receive some interest in the dogs they brought, but they raised over $1,000 in funds for the Animal Shelter.

The shelter also reminds that their annual Summer Jam will be held Saturday, June 3rd. The event will include food, dance groups, a celebrity dunk tank, a DJ, and a Christian rapper, among other things. Murrary says it’s one of their biggest fundraisers of the year, with over 50 corporate sponsors taking part. The Summer Jam will take place at the Muskingum YMCA between Noon and 6 p.m.
