Two Die in Zanesville House Fire

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — A local house fire early Saturday morning killed two people, and sent another man to the hospital.

The Zanesville Fire Department responded to a fire at approximately 5:35 a.m. at 1647 Spruce St.  The home was totally engulfed in flames upon their arrival. The Coroner and State Marshall were working on removing the bodies, while the man sent to Genesis Hospital was treated and released.

Investigators say cause of the fire has yet to be determined.  The names of victims have not yet been released.

There is no time frame for the completion of the investigation. More details will be provided as they become available.
