PAWS of Muskingum County to Host Pet Education Camp

ZANESVILLE, OH – A local non-profit is getting ready to host a day of pet education for the whole family.
On Saturday, June 13th, from 10AM until 2PM at First Christian Church, PAWS of Muskingum County will be hosting a Pet Camp for children aged 5 to 10.
Tammy Jones, the Director of Fundraising with PAWS, says kids will learn how to interact with animals, how to identify service animals, as well as participate in fun games and crafts.
“We believe every child can make a difference for animals.” Jones said. “This camp teaches kids that we can learn, care, and show love and it creates a better world for pets and people.”
Jones says they will also have sessions and activities for parents as well.
Registration for kids is $50 and can be done by heading to their website.
“That covers, they get a t-shirt, they get a backpack, they get an adoptable stuffed animal of their choice, lunch, and all kinds of arts and crafts that they’re going to get to take with them and other information that they can use later.” Jones said. “All the proceeds go back to our low cost spay and neutering program.”
