Zanesville Memorial Concert Band Announces Summer Season
ZANESVILLE, OH – Summer nights in Zanesville are about to get a little more musical.
The Zanesville Memorial Concert Band is kicking off its 2026 season with a series of free concerts at Zane’s Landing Park. This year’s lineup features a variety of themes, including “Horizons,” “voices That Inspire,” “America 250,” “Cirus Days” and “Toward a More Perfect Union.”
“This first concert is called ‘Horizons’ and its sort of a tribute to the history of flight. Our first concert always features the high school honors band which is a group of about 75 instrumentalists from the area that come together for a couple of rehearsals and then give a concert. They’re part of our concert and then they combine with us for the grand finale.” Zanesville Memorial Concert Band Artistic Director, David Turrill said.
Concerts begin May 31st and continue throughout the summer, with each performance starting at 7 p.m. Each show will feature a unique musical experience for audiences of all ages.
“It is free and open to the public. Our concerts for 103 years have been free. We encourage folks to bring lawn chairs and blankets, so they have a place to sit. If it rains, the rain location is Secret Auditorium.” Turrill said.
