Donald Ryan

Donald E. Ryan, age 97 of Cambridge, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026 at Altercare of Cambridge. He was born in Cambridge on October 2, 1928, a son of the late Emmett Ellwood Ryan and Laura (Gillespie) Ryan.
Mr. Ryan served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Four Mile Hill Church of Christ In Christian Union. He had worked many years at N.C.R.
Don is preceded in death by: his parents; his wife Donna J. (Starr) Ryan; a daughter Debra Ryan; sisters, Isabelle McCullough, Joan Hott, Dora Jane Ryan, and Mary Ann Danley; four brothers, Samuel Joseph Ryan, Richard Ryan, Robert Ryan and Frank Ryan.
Surviving are: two daughters, Sue (Terry) Bechtle of Marion, Ohio and Jan (Ronald) Dodd of Cambridge; two sons, Russ (Carol) Barrett of Clarington and Don (Delores) Ryan of Cambridge, 11 grandchildren, Angel, Phyllis, Shelly, Chrissy, Jen, Sarabeth, Laura, Mandy, Donnie, Matt and Megan; great grandchildren, Keirstine, Andrew, Marci, Skylar, Taylor, Avery, Lanie, Lizzie, Ashley, Piper, Nolan, Brooklyn, Zyler, Bladen, Jayce, Riley, Kylee, Wesley, Anthony, Selena, Molly, Chord, Ellie and Zoey; and great great grandchildren, Grace, Willow, Joseph, Evelyn, Milan and Nakeem; a sister Ellen Reed of Reynoldsburg; a brother-in-law Dave Danley of Cambridge; sister-in-law Mary Ryan of Newcomerstown and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 from 4-6 pm. Services will be on Thursday, also at Bundy-Law at 11 am officiated by Chaplain Kris Bright. Military Graveside Honors will be performed by the Guernsey County Veteran’s Council at Northwood Cemetery following the service.
