Mona Morgan

Mona L. Morgan, 81, of Roseville, passed away on June 9, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family and caregivers. Mona was born April 5, 1945, in New Lexington, Ohio, to the late John and Forest (Shaffer) Mills Sr. She lived a life rooted in family, community, and quiet strength, and she carried those values with her throughout her years. Mona was a Lutheran by faith, and her faith was an important part of the way she lived, cared for others, and faced life’s joys and challenges. Mona spent much of her working life in the local pottery industry, where she was known for her dependable work and strong work ethic. She worked at area potteries, most notably Cookson Pottery, where she held the title of cutout double dipper. She took pride in her work and in being part of the local tradition that helped shape the community around her. Mona remained local throughout her life and was deeply connected to the people and places she knew best. She was also widely known as a bartender at the Potters Pub, where her warm personality and friendly and matter-of-fact nature made her a familiar and welcome presence. Mona enjoyed being around people and had a gift for conversation. She could often be found sharing stories, catching up on the latest news, and making those around her feel at ease. Mona was especially devoted to her community and was a longtime member of the Roseville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She gave her time generously and could often be found volunteering to help the organization honor veterans. Whether she was lending a hand, offering support, or simply spending time in the canteen with friends, Mona was always ready to be involved. One of Mona’s favorite pastimes was collecting cookie jars and anything with apples. She loved the charm and character of each piece and enjoyed building her collection over the years. She is survived by her daughters, Trudy (James) Hendershot, Idella Emory Waderker, daughter-in-law Stacy Emory; her grandchildren, Misty, Amber, Tori, and Timmy, as well as her great-grandchildren, Baily, Reagan, Izaac, Grady, Garrett, Mazikene and Zireana.
