Dresden bicentennial homecoming

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Dresden continues to celebrate its village being around for 200 years.
The Bicentennial committee is sponsoring a homecoming event Thursday night to continue Dresden’s 200 year milestone.
“Part of what we are highlighting in the bicentennial itself,” said Dresden Mayor David Mathew. “Dresden is 200 years old, and the Dresden Bicentennial Committee is having events every month of 2017.”
This month’s event will be more than just a homecoming on Thursday night. The rest of the weekend will include competitions, such as costume and mustache contests. The town has been in full support of the bicentennial celebration. The community is interested in doing more than just coming out to the events said Mathew.
“We take a lot of pride in our little village, we are so fortunate how the community supports us in the bad times and the good,” said Mathew
