Larry Sharrer

Larry Ray Sharrer, 74, of Zanesville passed at 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House.

He was born on Saturday, September 1, 1951, in Zanesville, Ohio, the son of the late Jenerson Little Sharrer and Goldie Emma Wayne Sharrer.

Larry was a veteran of the U.S. Marines serving in Vietnam. He attended a Trade school. Larry worked at Burley Clay Pottery Company for many years, Owens Corning and several other jobs, he was a man of many hats. Larry enjoyed flea markets, auctions, yard sales, movies and skating. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, even if it was just picking them up from school or getting pizza.

He is survived by, two daughters, Crystal (Tim) Russell and Candi Cox; two sons, Aaron Sharrer and Craig (Stephanie) Sharrer; nine grandchildren, Brandon, Nicole (Randy), Amanda (TJ), Anthony, Jayson, Justyn, Jessica, Chayliegh (Terry) and Kierra (Dylan); seven great grandchildren, Elijah Harlan, Starr Harper, Logan Best, Aleighia Cox, Kamerynn Shields and twins, Gracie and Bentley Shields.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine “Cathy” Shoemaker Sharrer; two brothers, Dean Sharrer and Donald Lewis Sharrer; and many half siblings.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at The Barracks, 4509 Salt Creek Drive Duncan Falls, Ohio.
