Carolyn Sellars

Carolyn S. Sellars, 78, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Friday June 19, 2026, at home.
She was born on October 15, 1947, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late John Sellars and Mary (Lewis) Sellars. Carolyn graduated from Crooksville High School in 1965. She worked at Essex Wire / Brockway Glass for many years, where she retired. Carolyn’s was an Apostolic by faith. She was a member of the Moose Lodge, and she earned her cap and gown as the Deputy Grand Region for Ohio. She offered her time for several years as a Country Line Dancing instructor for the ‘Country Kickers’, as a board member of the ‘Hope to the Rescue’, and she belonged to the Women’s Auxiliary at the Salvation Army. Carolyn loved giving back in any way she could.
Carolyn is survived by her children: Cheryl Coles of Zanesville, Dana Foster of Florida, Gary (Michelle) Foster of Zanesville, Scott Kuhn of Zanesville; 5 grandchildren: Zackara Johnson Sr., Adriane Johnson, Ciara (Dwayne) Muller, Dustin Foster, Jacob Kuhn; great grandchildren, Nautica Johnson, Tiana Johnson, Zackara Johnson Jr., Rylan Johnson, Hezackiah Johnson, Makeiah Johnson, Kylie Hunt; brothers, Frank (Karen) Sellars, Terry Sellars, and Kevin Sellars; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her 4 brothers: John “Jack” Sellars, Donald Sellars, Gary Sellars, and Leslie Sellars.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday June 24, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:00 PM with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Burial will conclude with services at Williams Cemetery in Zanesville.
