Edwin D. “Big Ed” Middaugh, 76 of Zanesville, died 12:00 PM, Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at his home in Zanesville, under the care of hospice.

He was born Wednesday, November 23, 1949,in Zanesville, the son of the late Wayne Middaugh and Ruth (Fink) Middaugh-Decot.

Ed was employed in the steel manufacturing industry for many years, and retired as owner and operator of Ed’s Action Lube in Zanesville. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Zanesville, a Life-Time Member of the NRA, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Ed was a fierce Harley Davidson lover and lived to ride his Harley. He lived his life by his rules and fulfilled his desire to pass-away at his home.

Ed is survived by his siblings, Roberta Clark, Wayne “Sonny” Middaugh, Mary (Everett) Moore, John (Pam) Middaugh and Lori (Matt) Bailey; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by two siblings, Daniel Middaugh and Joan Janks.

Friends may call from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 1:00pm on Saturday, July 11th, 2026 at the Roberts Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington.
