Gene Baldwin

Gene B. Baldwin, 81, of Zanesville, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026, at his son’s home in Canal Winchester. He was born Wednesday, November 8, 1944, in Zanesville, the son of James H. Baldwin and Mabel M. (Menhorn) Baldwin. He married Carolyn S. (Farley) Baldwin on Sunday, July 26, 1970, and was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Gene was employed with Big Bear South, retiring after many years of service. He was a Cleveland Indians Fan, Ohio State Buckeyes Fan, and enjoyed golfing, bowling, and really enjoyed his candy, and Conn’s Potato Chips. Gene was a huge Zanesville Blue Devils supporter.
Gene is survived by two children, Kevin (Penny) Baldwin, and Jennifer (Ryan) McAuley; five grandchildren, Jo Baldwin, Abigail Baldwin, Jack Baldwin, Mitchell Coty, and Caroline Coty; one sister, Cheryl Grissett, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Baldwin; two siblings, Ron Baldwin and Jim Baldwin.
Friends may call 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the Hillis Combs Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, July 3, 2026, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 128 South 7th Street, Zanesville, with Pastor Gary Richard officiating.
