Albert Taylor

Albert Phillip Taylor, 86, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. He was born March 7, 1940, in Zanesville to the late Albert F. and Ruth Miller Taylor. He was a 1958, graduate of Zanesville High School and served in the U.S. Army. Albert was a member of First Christian Church, the Lion’s Club and Freemasons Jackson Lodge No. 85. Al was the owner and proprietor of “Al’s Pizza” for over 25 years.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn, whom he married June 5, 1966; Children: Michael Allan Taylor (Ann); Ann Marie Shoemaker (William); six grandchildren: Zachary Edward Taylor, Maxwell Allan Taylor, Bill Shoemaker, Daniel Shoemaker (Eloise Burgenstein), Christian Shoemaker (Olivia Autrey) and Mary Mae Shoemaker; three great grandchildren: Lyla Ann Burgenstein, Graham Burgenstein and Serenity Sage Daley.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Fred Taylor; sister, Margaret Nelson; and daughter, Alanna Taylor.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 until time of service at 1:00 pm at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, OHIO with Phillip Hunt officiating, following services full Military Honors will be accorded to him by the United States Army in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058.
