Health Commissioner has levy put on November ballot

Zanesville, Ohio- The Muskingum County Health Commissioner met with the County Commissioners to have their Half-mill ten-year levy put on the November ballot.
This will be a renewal of the already existing plan and if renewed it will continue to aid the services that the health department provides.
“It’s time for us to be considered for the renewal of our half-mill levy,” said Muskingum County Health Commissioner Corey Hamilton. “It’s a half mil, 10 years. It generates a little over $800,000 annually. Which we do utilize to service Muskingum County residences.”
The health department proved multiple health services to the Muskingum County area.
“The health department provides a lot of health services in the community, said Hamilton. “We’re working collaboratively with partners across the community to help keep Muskingum County residents healthier and safe. We dip our toe into the water on a variety of different ways, but our mission is to protect and improve health in the community.”
The decision on if the renewal will be approved is expected to be decided in November.
