Stars and Stripes 2026

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Zanesville Jaycees will be holding their annual Stars and Stripes on the River festival at Zane’s Landing Park.
Events will begin Friday, July 3rd at 3 and run past the evening fireworks that are set to be launched from Putnam Hill Park on Saturday, July 4th at dusk.
“Of course it’s a free event down at Zane’s Landing,” Zanesville Jaycee’s President Travis Reed said. “So as long as you come down and enjoy it, there’s plenty of food trucks. We will have children’s rides. I believe that they’re going to be bringing three or four more different inflatables. With those… they do charge a wrist band fee but that’s pretty much if you buy the wrist band, they will be able to go on those inflatables as much as possible.”
The majority of the Stars and Stripes on the River festivities are scheduled for later in the day on both Friday and Saturday, but will begin at Noon on the 4th, which should collaborate nicely with the Muskingum 250 events set to take place 10 a.m. on Saturday, the 4th at Confluence Park. The evening fireworks will not be launched from Confluence Park but from high atop Putnam Hill, which should make the Y-Bridge an excellent vantage point.
“Up from Putnam Hill Park, so that will be closed down around 4 o’clock because of the fall out. People… it’s just going to be too close. But because of the new vantage point, we spent an extra $10,000 dollars to buy bigger shells and a better show. We’re really excited because Hamburg Fireworks always takes care of us,” Reed said.
