Pet of the Week

Zanesville, Ohio- It’s Friday and like we do every Friday, it’s time for the pet of the week.

This cat’s name is Sadie and she has been at the Animal Shelter Society since April.  Sadie is up to date on all of her shots and vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $30.

“She just a real lovable cat,” said Executive director Jody Murray. “She doesn’t mind being held and gets along with everybody. She’s just looking for a permanent home.”

With the Fourth of July just around the corner, Murray says keep your pets away from the fireworks the best you can.

“Fireworks and pets just don’t mix,” said Murray. “So I encourage people to be sure that they are keeping their pets secure. Particularly as we get closer to the Fourth and have the commercial fireworks going off. It’s really a good idea to keep them in the house.”

Murray says to play music, run a fan, or have the TV on to muffle the sound of the fireworks.
