Yan Sun Named ArtCOZ Artist of the Month for July

ZANESVILLE, OH- Yan Sun has been named the ArtCOZ Artist of the Month for July.

He’s created and curated pieces that highlight the beauty of America for its 250th birthday happening this July 4th.

Sun says he’s honored to be able to show the little things that help to create the America we know today.

“For this show we’re focusing on some landscapes, the landscape of Ohio, and the landscape of the United States.” Sun said. “I really like the historic and the size of this Santa Maria, it represents America for the history and on to the 250 and we have a great America, great people, great landmarks, the spirit of America.”

Sun says he’s proud of being named the feature artist, especially since the Zanesville art community is filled with talented artists with their own mediums.

He hopes the community enjoys celebrating this milestone for America while checking out the art this Friday.

“I appreciate that we have so many works and these works focus on very good ties and a tribute to America 250.” Sun said.

The Yan Sun Art Museum & Gallery is located at 604 Main St. in downtown Zanesville.
