Marvin Muth

Marvin Albert Muth, 79, of Pleasant City, passed away Tuesday (June 30, 2026) at The Morrison House, Zanesville.
He was born September 10, 1946 in Caldwell, son of the late William Muth and Irene (Minosky) Muth.
After graduating from Pleasant City High School in 1964, Marvin began his working career at Bi-Con and later found his calling in sales at R’s First Auto, where he dedicated twenty five years.
He was a former member of the Moose Lodge. He was quite the poker player and loved horses. Trips to Myrtle Beach were among his happiest memories.
Marvin worshiped at the Byesville Assembly of God Church and took great pride in his involvement with The Living Word Outdoor Drama, spending eighteen years on stage bringing its stories to life as an actor and a lifelong supporter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Karen Vickers and Terry Matthews.
Marvin is survived by his loving family – his son, Ron Foraker of Lore City; his daughter, Cassie (& David) Wickham of Cambridge; his long-time friend whom he called a brother, Bud Weddle of Lewisville; his brother, Mike (& Emmy) Muth of Alaska; his sister, Denise (& Al) Matthews of Caldwell; his eight grandchildren: Kylee, Maria, Alexia, Trent, Wesley, Jake, Abby, and Tessa; his five great- grandchildren: Bexley, Grayson, Novalee, Shiloh, and Lincoln; and several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday (July 6, 2026) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. with Pete Hanson officiating.
