Trudy Lynne Scott Gore, 65, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away on July 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Zanesville, Trudy was the daughter of the late James T. Scott and Wanda Jean Janes Scott. She married the love of her life, Kevin Gore, in 1980. Together they built a life centered on family, friendship, and caring for others.

Trudy earned her Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy, but those who knew her best will remember her for the way she cared for people beyond any profession. She was a prolific cook who found joy in feeding others, whether hosting family and friends around her table or preparing meals for ill and homebound neighbors. Her generosity knew few limits, and she had a remarkable gift for making lifelong friends wherever she went.

Faith was an important part of Trudy’s life. She faithfully volunteered for many years with the South Zanesville United Methodist Church Food Pantry and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Kevin Gore; her daughter, Ashley (Christian Hoffer) Hoffman; her cherished granddaughter, Olivia Church (Luke Koulouris); Christian’s children: John, Thomas, and Lorelei Hoffer, whom she welcomed as part of her extended family; her sister, Julie (Austin) McMillian; her brother, James (Kimilla) Scott; her niece, Sarah (Chris) Chadwick; and her great-nephew, Jaime; along with many extended family members and dear friends, whose lives were enriched by her kindness.

In addition to her parents, Trudy was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Lance Hoffman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice Morrison House, 713 Forest Ave, Zanesville, Ohio 43701; in honor of the compassionate care they provided to Trudy and her family.

The family will remember Trudy for her generous heart, welcoming spirit, unwavering love for those around her, and the countless lives she touched through simple acts of kindness, a warm meal, and an open door. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved, the friends she cherished, and the many people who were fortunate enough to know her.

Visitors will be received at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE, on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 10am-12pm. The funeral service will begin at 12PM in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Karen Montgomery and Pastor Jeff Belt officiating. Cremation care has been entrusted to Snouffer Crematory.
