Agnes (Voytko) Allison, 98, lifelong resident and the matriarch of Race Avenue in Byesville, passed away Thursday (July 9, 2026) at OhioHealth Southeastern Med, Cambridge.

She was born January 24, 1928 in Byesville, daughter of the late Mike Voytko and Mary (Florko) Voytko. She was Catholic by faith.

Agnes devoted her life to creating a loving home, filling it with the aroma of fresh baked treats and the handiwork of her crocheting. She took great pride in tending her yard, especially her vegetable and flower gardens. She found joy in watching the birds and deer that visited her property, exploring Amish country, playing Bingo, and relaxing with her favorite word search puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. “Bob” Allison, who passed away January 31, 2010. They were married July 2, 1949. Also deceased are ten brothers and four sisters.

Agnes is survived by her son, Jerry (Susan) Allison of Norwich; her daughter, Janice (Tom) Kenworthy of Byesville; her grandchildren: Jerrod (Leanne) Allison and Douglas Kenworthy (Kaci); her great-grandson, Jerrett Allison; and her special family friend, Dr. Chendraj.

Visitation will be held Sunday (July 12, 2026) from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and also on Monday (July 13, 2026) from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville.

Funeral services will held Monday (July 13, 2026) at 11 a.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, with Father Nicholas Ginnetti officiating.

Burial will be at Cumberland Cemetery.
