Benefit for the Witherow family

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Members of the community are holding a Benefit for the Witherow Family at Restoration Park.
Volunteer Roger Bingham said Pastor and Sanitation Worker Daniel Witherow was killed by a drunk driver back on May 11th. The fundraiser will be on Saturday, July 22nd from noon to 6. Bingham said it will be a time of remembrance.
“First of all, to celebrate the life of Daniel,” said Bingham. “Daniel was a wonderful man. He was a man of few words, but his words meant a lot. There wasn’t a person in the world that didn’t like Daniel. The second reason is Daniel left a wife and four children. We’re just having this fundraiser to let them know how the people in the community loved their father and husband and to help out with some expenses.”
Bingham said Witherow’s death was personal because Witherow was much more than just a pastor to him.
“Daniel was not only my pastor; Daniel was my best friend,” said, Bingham. “He would call me up and say hey, what are you doing? His catch phrase was always hey. If I needed brakes on my car, hey why don’t you stop over at 2 O’clock and help me out with this.”
There will be music, food, games, and a crazy hat fun run. The race starts at 11 am and registration starts an hour before that.
