Janelle Taylor

Janelle E. Taylor, 67 of Zanesville passed away on July 11, 2026 at her home. Janelle was born in Monroe, Michigan on January 7, 1959 to the late Reverend Carl and Janet (Staugh) Finley.

Janelle worked for Franklin Local School district as a cook and janitor for many years and attended Westwood Baptist Church. In her free time, she volunteered at The Wilds, Breaking Free and Special Riders, and at the Senior Center. She enjoyed going for walks with her dog, swimming, and teaching water aerobics and cycling classes. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart.

Janelle is survived by her loving husband, Gary Eugene Taylor whom she married in 1982; children, Trista (Greg) Bertke, Nicole (Mark) Lane, and Jimmy (Katie) Taylor. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, with one on the way.

In addition to her parents, Janelle is preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Finley.

Family will greet friends from 5-6pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. Funeral services will follow at 6pm. Pastor Jimmy Taylor will officiate the service. Janelle will be laid to rest privately at a later date.
