Steven Chapman

Steven R. Chapman, 45, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on July 13, 2026, at his home.
He was born on October 27, 1980, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of Robert “Bob” Chapman and Lori (Dobbins) Chapman. Steven graduated from Philo High School in 1999. He worked as a concrete finisher for over 23 years. Steven loved motorcross racing and tinkering in the garage with his dad. Above all, he loved spending his time with his family and loved ones.
In addition to his parents, Steven is survived by his wife, Lisa (Clemons) Gysin; son, Kyler Chapman; brothers, James (Lisa) Chapman, Christopher (Beth) Chapman, Bobby (Liz) Chapman, Chad Chapman; 3 grandsons; uncle, Chris (Nancy) Dobbins; 5 nieces and nephews; 2 stepchildren: Lacie Housel and Sakari Gysin.
He is preceded in death by his uncle, Steve Denton; grandparents, Lenora and Robert Dobbins, Robert and Mary Lou Chapman.
A dignified cremation has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home.
