Y Bridge Brewing Co. has soft opening

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-  Y-Bridge Brewing’s soft opening went underway welcoming people to sample and try the brewery’s new beers.

The beers are centered around the Y Bridge. Beers include Y-Not and YPA. Y Bridge Brewing Co. opened their doors to the public at 3:00 p.m. Several people arrived as soon as the doors opened. Brewmaster Ray Ballard said he’s excited the opening has finally arrived.

“We’ve done a couple of accounts where we have just done the whole sale,” said Ballard. “This is our first actual retail sales, and it’s awesome to see people coming into the bar. We worked on it and designed and get face to face instead of just dropping it off somewhere.”

The brewery is located at 1417 Linden Avenue. Ballard used to be a nurse before he became a brewmaster. Even though Ballard has not been open long, he already has a unique story interacting with customers.

“I’ve been a nurse for eight years, and I just had somebody wave me over where I was their nurse after they had surgery,” said Ballard. “So that’s been the most unique one so far.”
