Roger Spencer

Roger A. Spencer Jr., 66, of Zanesville, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Friday July 17, 2026, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.
He was born on May 29, 1960, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Roger A. Spencer Sr. and Tresa (Bradley) Spencer. Roger worked several years driving dump truck, delivering janitorial supplies, and later for Imlay Florist, delivering flowers. He was a member of the Down Bikers and the Eagles #302 in Zanesville. Roger was known to be a grease monkey or gear head; he enjoyed tinkering and working on things in the garage. He was an avid Browns fan and in his free time, he loved riding his motorcycle or having a good time with his friends and family. Roger was unique and there was no other like him.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Carla (Landers) Spencer; brothers, Brad (Anita) Spencer and Phillip “Flip” Spencer; special nephew, Slade Spencer; many friends and other family members; special dogs: Paco and Buck.
In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his grandfather, Nelson “Pap” Spencer.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Down Bikers in honor of Roger.
Calling hours will be held on Monday July 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 6:00 PM with Rev. Darren Tolbert officiating. A dignified cremation will take place following services.
