Stevens Dena Pic

Dena Jane Stevens, 68, a five-year resident of Baltic and formerly of Byesville, passed away Monday (July 27, 2026) at The Truman House, New Philadelphia.

She was born July 29, 1957 in Guernsey County, daughter of the late Thomas Stevens and Vivian (Sills) Stevens Cox.

Dena attended the Golden Rule School, where she had been a cheerleader for the Golden Rule Eagles. She later worked at the GNC Workshop for several years.

During her time at Oak Pointe, Dena served as president of the residents’ council, a role that suited her well. She loved playing cards and bingo whenever the opportunity arose, and her friendly, outgoing nature made her the social butterfly of the community. Dena loved puzzles and cats.

She was an enthusiastic supporter of The Ohio State Buckeyes and enjoyed following the Akron RubberDucks, her favorite minor league baseball team.

In addition to her parents, Dena was preceded in death by her stepfather, Lester Cox; her sisters: Jackie Feldner and Golda Stevens; and her brothers, Thomas Stevens and David Stevens.

Dena is survived by her brother, Tim (Dianna) Cox of Cumberland; her sister, Anna (Ben) Enochs of New Concord; her sister-in-law, Bernice Stevens of Zanesville; her brother-in-law, Norman Feldner of Caldwell; her special friend who works at Oak Pointe, Lindsay “Kinzlee” Perkins; her niece and legal co-guardian, Leslie Tilton of Westerville; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dena’s caregivers at Oak Pointe and The Truman House.
