Betty Armstrong

Betty Jean Armstrong 79, of Chandlersville passed away on Monday August 3, 2026, at The Becket House in New Concord.
She was born on November 27, 1946, in Zanesville to the late Ralph Guy and Marjorie Jean Grable Robinson. Betty was a 1964 graduate of Zanesville High School and attended Bryant College in Rhode Island where she studied Accounting. She was an accountant for Midas Muffler Company. Betty spent many years living in Vermont and enjoyed crossword puzzles and her cats. She was a devoted member of Zanesville Seventh Day Adventist Church where she was a member of the school board. Her love of animals led her to volunteer for various pet rescue organizations.
She is survived by a son: Wesley Carpenter, three stepsons: Steven Armstrong, Matthew Armstrong, and Jonathon Armstrong, two sisters: Louise Ray and Barbara Heeter, and seven step grandchildren: Victoria, Sophia, Max, Alisha, Amanda, Ann Marie, and Lucetta.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Edmund A. Carpenter, her second husband George Armstrong, and a sister Bonnie Robinson.
Cremation care has been entrusted to The Snouffer Crematory.
