Charles Fortney

Charles M. “Chuck” Fortney, 68, of Roseville, Ohio, passed away on August 5, 2026, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born on November 11, 1957, in Zanesville and throughout life was known by many simply as Chuck, a name that fit him well and reflected the easy, familiar way he connected with people. He carried himself with a steady presence and a kind spirit. A longtime truck driver for Warner Trucking, Chuck took pride in his work and in the role he played in helping keep things moving, and could be described as dependable, dedicated, and committed to doing his job well. He is survived by his children, Corey Fortney and Casie Kargbo, and by the mother of his children, Christy Fortney, all of Texas. He was a proud grandfather to Samantha Garcia, Carissa Fortney, Charles Fortney, and Trulee Carradine; He is also survived by his brother, Kenny Davis, and his sisters, Tonya Dennis and Terri Abella. Preceding him in death were his sister, Linda Shirkey, and by his mother, Mary Ellen “Susie” (Savage) Davis, and his stepfather, Gary Davis. Calling hours will be held from 12:00 pm – 2:00pm, Saturday August 8, 2026, at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville, where funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Sunday August 9, 2026, with Rev.
