Raymond & Mary Ramos Named ZAAP Gallery Artists of the Month

ZANESVILLE, OH – A married couple are the Featured Artists of the Month at the ZAAP Gallery this month.

Raymond and Mary Ramos both vary in their mediums; Raymond paints while focusing on things he sees in his day to day life and Mary sews, making scenes come to life with just a needle and thread.

“Or something I experience, everyday it seems like your vision changes, so really you’re pretty much trying to solve a puzzle that you can already see.” Raymond Ramos said. “You’re starting to learn to see but then you’ve got to learn to paint it all over again so that’s kind of the challenge I like.”

For the First Friday Art walk, the Ramos’ have a variety of works on display and something that just about everyone will enjoy.

Raymond says that they are very appreciative and excited to be named as the ZAAP Gallery’s Artists of the Month.

“It means a lot.” Ramos said. “ZAAP does a lot for the community and I’d say it’s probably one of my favorite galleries in Zanesville.”

Raymond and Mary Ramos’s work will be on display from 5 to 8PM at the ZAAP Gallery during the First Friday Art walk tomorrow night.
