Muskingum County Blue Ribbon Fair security provided by Sheriff’s Department

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office is the security at the Muskingum County Blue Ribbon Fair.
Sheriff, Matt Lutz, and the rest of the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office are making sure all visitors to the fair are safe. Everything, so far, has gone according to plan.
“The first two nights, Sunday and Monday night, went very well,” said Sheriff Lutz. “We had a large crowd on Sunday. We had a little bit of a parking issue but, we got that resolved. We got everybody into the fair. As far as security, it’s been good. We’ve had a couple of minor calls and its just been really good, so far.”
Sheriff Lutz said the office will continue making sure the area is safe as well as providing security during all the fair’s events.
“We’ll have deputies walking the midway to make sure all of our citizens are safe,” said Sheriff Lutz. “We provide security for all the events that go on. Tonight, it’s the demolition deby and we expect a large crowd. We’ll make sure that all the spectators are back to make sure that if something flies off a car nobody will be hit. While that is going on, we will still have deputies controlling the grounds to make sure everything is secure.”
Sheriff Lutz said he doesn’t expect many issues, but if a large problem does occur the Sheriffs office can rely on calling in more officers as well as the Zanesville Police Department.
