Kevin “K.C.” Hickman

Kevin Charles “K.C.” Hickman, 51, of Byesville, Ohio, passed away at his home on August 4, 2026.

He was born on November 12, 1974, in Chicago, Illinois and was a graduate of Cambridge High School in 1994.

K.C. was an endearing and loving son, grandson, cousin, and friend. To those fortunate enough to know him, he was much more than a friend—he was family. K.C. had a special gift for forming deep and lasting friendships with the people he met along the way, and many considered him one of their closest and dearest friends.

K.C. carried a deep love for all things Chicago, a passion that remained with him throughout his life. He was also a devoted fan of “The” Ohio State Buckeyes and enjoyed cheering for his favorite teams. Above all, K.C. treasured the people in his life. His dear friends meant the world to him, and the memories, laughter, conversations, and experiences he shared with them will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

K.C. was preceded in death by his father, Kevin Hickman; his mother, Vicki (Todd) Hickman; his grandparents, Jesse and Edna Hickman and Charles “Chuck” and Linda Todd; and his uncles, Theodore “Ted” Hickman, Marion Hickman, Kenneth Hickman, John Hickman, Paul Todd, Herschel Todd, Kenny Todd, Junior “Whitey” Todd, Harold Todd, and Dickie Todd.

He was also preceded in death by his aunts, Florence “Wykoff” Hickman, Shirley (Richard) Stillions, Beverly “William” Fisher, and Freda Todd; and his cousins, Jerry Hickman, John Hickman Jr., Mike Hickman, Dennis Wykoff, Christine “Hickman” Boyd, and Tom Hickman; as well his inseparable lifelong friend and brother, John Fannin.

K.C. is survived by his aunt, Judy Hickman of Cambridge, Ohio; and his closest cousins, Dr. Theodore “Chip” Hickman of Batavia, Illinois; Mark Hickman of Cambridge, Ohio; his closest and dearest friend, Ken Stover of Byesville, Ohio; along with a large and loving extended family and a cadre of dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

K.C. leaves behind a legacy measured not only in family, but in friendship. He had a way of making people feel like they belonged, and the bonds he formed throughout his life were genuine, meaningful, and lasting. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.

Though K.C. is no longer with us, the stories, laughter, friendships, and memories he created will continue to keep his spirit alive. He will be missed more than words can express and remembered with love by the many people whose lives he touched.

Rest easy, K-Luvv, your friends and family will carry you with them, always. Go Bucks!!

Friends and family are welcome to attend the Interment Ceremony honoring K.C.’s life and memory on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Memorial Gardens in Cambridge, Ohio.

A Celebration of Life will be held to share memories and honor the friendships and connections that meant so much to K.C. on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 12:00 PM (Noon) at the Eagles Club Cambridge, Ohio.
