Shirley Paynter

Shirley Paynter, 79, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Genesis Hospital. She was born May 4, 1947, in Zanesville to the late Kenneth and Bertha Keith Paynter. Shirley enjoyed gardening, fishing and vacationing in Canada with her family. She was retired from SMC Manufacturing.

She is survived by her sons: Kelvin (Carol) Hoover and Daniel (Mickie) Kennedy; a brother William (Theresa) Paynter; grandson Kyle (Kay) Hoover; several nieces, nephews and her fishing buddy Lynn Ramage.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Mary Maxwell; and three brothers: Leonard Paynter, Robert Paynter and Kenneth Paynter Jr.

Cremation services have been entrusted to the Snouffer Crematory. A memorial service will be held at a later day. The SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE has the distinct honor of serving the Paynter Family.
