Marguerite Fineran

Rita Fineran was born Marguerite Louise Beckert on June 11, 1937. She was the daughter of Andy and Dorothy Beckert and the sister of Sheila Beckert Raisbeck (Fred) and Pete Beckert. She was a fourth generation Zanesville resident and graduate of Zanesville High School class of ’56. She was married to James Fineran Sr. and mother of two sons, James Jr. (Beth) and Charles Andrew (Stacey). In addition to her sons, Jeff Dixon (Cynthia) holds an honored place in her immediate family. She was the grandmother of Kelly Fineran Wright (Darren), Stacey Fineran Gray (Andrew), Charles David Fineran, and Katie Fineran; Great Grandmother of Emma Wright, Elisha, Darwin, and Lia Gray; aunt to Teressa Fineran Kilgore (Randy) and Charles William Fineran, Delita Raisbeck Rosenbaum (Tarn), Kyle Raisbeck, and Michael (Aimee) and Aaron Beckert. She was an avid card player and outdoorswoman, enjoying camping, fishing, and deer hunting. She frequently attended outdoor music events and local square dancing until the last few months of her life with her longtime partner Billie Dickson. She passed peacefully at Genesis hospital on August 13, 2026.
A cremation will take place under the direction of BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, AT OUR LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED CREMATORY.
