Colten Mohler

Colten Robert Mohler, 22, formerly of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026 in Virginia. Colten was born October 4, 2003 in Zanesville, son of Donavan Mohler and Ashley Hadley. Colten was welcomed into eternal peace by his paternal great-grandparents, Willam “Bid” and Jeanne Mohler.

Colten leaves to cherish his precious memory, his dad, Donavan (Jeana Boyd) Mohler; his mom, Ashley Hadley; bonus mom, Kaela Mason; dedicated uncles, Devin (Breonna Snoddy) Jones and Kaleb (Mykah Fulkerson) Mohler; nanny, Randi Mohler; grandma, Lisa Hadley; step-grandpa, Kevin Jones; cherished siblings, Kaedence and Trinten Mohler, Chloe, Carlie, Carson, Cayson and Christian Hadley, Benson and Axton Boyd, and Brevyn and Suttyn Mohler; aunts and uncles, Aaron (Fallon) Mayle, Cari Maher, Jon Hadley and Scott Hadley; many cousins, including Layla and Madison; wife, Isabella Johnson Mohler; special friends, Arlowe Bishop and Michael Allen; and a host of other relatives, loved ones and many friends.

Colten bravely served this country as a member of the United States Navy. He was an avid fan of the Avengers as well as Spiderman (he and Peter Parker were never seen in the same room, just saying). Colten enjoyed a variety of different music. He had tried his hand at every stringed instrument he could find. As cliche as it may sound, Colten truly had the ability to light up any room he entered. Even if he was having the worst day himself, he could always tell if someone else need a boost in their energy. Colten was lively and rambunctious; his spirit was infectious.

When Colten came along, he became the baby of his family. His parents, uncles and grandmothers were wrapped around his little finger. As time passed, he became the best big brother to his siblings. While he loved doting on them, he never let anyone forget that HE was still the baby, the favorite and that he could get away with anything. Colten’s impact will last for years to come. He will be missed, remembered and honored.

You may call on the family Wednesday, August 19, 2026 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., with funeral services to follow at 12 p.m., at North Terrace Church of Christ, 1420 Brandywine Blvd, in Zanesville. Colten will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery, where full Military Honors will be observed.
