Man struck and killed by falling tree on Ridge Avenue

ZANESVILLE, Ohio–Authorities said a Zanesville man was struck and killed by a falling tree during Sunday’s storm.

According to Assistant Chief Doug Hobson with the Zanesville Fire Department, a man in his 20’s was walking down the sidewalk on Ridge Avenue when he was struck by a falling tree.

The Zanesville Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene as well as Genesis Community Ambulance.

The incident remains under investigation.
