ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Muskingum County Center for Seniors utilized the North Stage at The Noon Rotary Pavilion for Senior Day at the 180th Muskingum County Blue Ribbon Fair.

The Center’s Community Involvement Coordinator Jill Jones explained why visiting the fair provided a nice change of scenery but didn’t stray too far from the adrenaline level and variety of activities that are offered daily at their Fourth and Shinnick Street Location in Downtown Zanesville.

“Today is Senior Day. So everyone who’s 60 and better gets in free. And so we just like to provide some entertainment here at the North Stage so everyone can have something to do. And any other day they’re welcome to come join us down at the Center on North Fourth Street,” Jones said.

The Center is open to people of all ages to visit and participate in all of the variety programs they offer or to just hang out and socialize.

“My husband and I are there about 5-days-a-week,” The Center Patron Jo McMahan said. “I’m involved in… well we’re both involved in cardio drumming, the fitness, I have started taking since January Kenpo Karate, which is a lot of fun. We do arthritis classes and of course Bingo. And the fellowship with everyone there, it’s a wonderful place to be. A lot of fun.”

For more details about what the Center has to offer, you can visit them in-person, online, or call them at (740) 454-9761.
